Editorial Standards

1. What we publish

SmartWriteTools publishes two kinds of content: the writing tools themselves, and guides in the blog that explain how to write better and how to use the tools. This page sets out how that content is produced and maintained.

2. How guides are written

Guides are written by our editorial team to be practical rather than academic. Before a guide is published:

3. Accuracy and corrections

We aim to keep content accurate and up to date. Each page carries a "last updated" date so readers know how current it is. If you believe any content is incorrect or out of date, please contact us with the page and the specific issue. We investigate, correct errors, and where a substantive change is made we note the correction on the page.

4. Independence from advertising

The toolkit is free and supported by advertising. Advertising and affiliate relationships never determine what we write or how we score a tool. Where a guide contains an affiliate link to a product we genuinely recommend, it is clearly disclosed, and the recommendation stands on its own merits.

5. Privacy

We do not collect or retain any text you enter into the tools. Our full approach to data is described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Accountability

SmartWriteTools is an independent project. Our content is edited and reviewed by Elizabeth Twumasi (B.A. Linguistics and Political Science, University of Ghana; CELTA, Melbourne Training International; Cambridge Speaking Examiner, Kawaijuku, Tokyo). Our editorial team is accountable for everything published on this site, and every page carries a contact path through our contact page. We respond to factual corrections and take reader feedback seriously.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this page as our practices evolve. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects any changes.
